Master of Time
You are 15 minutes late. I don't want to hear your excuses!
Save your excuses. It is not about "having time". It is about "making time". If it matters, you will make time.
Successful people are successful because they get a lot done. The only way to do is by making the most out of the allotted 24 hours we all get. Extraordinary people value their time and see the direct connection between how they spend their time and their well-being.They are usually always on time by implementing strict start and end times.
Everyone has 24 hours a day to complete their tasks. It all comes down to time management, which is an art. Whenever you say you do not have time for this or do not have time for that, you really mean to say that you have other things to do. So it all depends on you to prioritise which task you want to do or complete first. If you have a meeting and you show up late. You start giving excuses. Of course sometimes there are things which we cannot avoid like traffic, accident etc. But most of the times, things are in our hands.
Successful people know this very well and they are "master" of their own times. They know what to do first and what to do last. It requires discipline and practice to master this art of time management. Here are some tips to effectively manage your time
Find out where you are wasting time
Many of us are prey to time-wasters that steal time we could be using much more productively.
Make a survey about yourself and list down what are the time-wasters in your routine.
Create time management goals
Remember, the focus of time management is actually changing your behaviors, not changing time. A good place to start is by eliminating your personal time-wasters. Set an achievable goal that you can do. For example, for one week, you are not going to use social media or reply any text messages.
Prioritize ruthlessly
You should start each day with a session prioritizing the tasks that day and setting your performance benchmark

Create a flexible time table and set a reminder
A flexible time table means a time table which you can change according to the importance of each task, for each days. Preferably, use your mobile phones as you can easily make changes and they are portable. Set a reminder along with a time table on your phones to remind you of the upcoming task.
Get in the habit of setting time limits for tasks
For instance, reading and answering email can consume your whole day, if you let it. Instead, set a limit of one hour a day for this task and stick to it.
Start the processes from now, and repeat them
Do not tell yourself that you would start these processes tomorrow or later on. Do it from now onwards and repeat them. Follow them strictly and at the end of the month, give yourself a reward for accomplishing them.
I am certain that if you follow these tips strictly, within a month, you will see changes in yourself and you will be surprise on how much and how effectively you get things done.
